REA3D Candlelight ONLINE EVENT COMING March 19, 2021

Bringing the Warmth of 2021 “REA3D by Candlelight”
Via our
REA3D has transformed its annual  Candlelight auction and dinner to a gala web-based event this year, to meet the challenge of restraints posed by the
   pandemic situation.

REA3D Distance Learning Challenge WinnersREA3D  sponsored a challenge to students in K-12 to reflect on their experience during the pandemic.

Students were encouraged to submit work in the areas of academics, arts, and/or athletics that related to their surviving and thriving during the current pandemic.  Students submitted artwork, essays, poems, videos, and exercise routines.  Eleven students were awarded $100.00 scholarships for their efforts.  The submissions that appear below represent two of these talented Proctor students.

My heart like lint blowing in a spiral  current.

Wild flowers bleach the mossy fields,  like covid-19. This horrid pandemic,

That somewhat extends my deja vu to lonely times.

My brain a humid trench of acid, the fear, the hate, the confusion

But I take comfort in the resplendent hope  radiating from the citizens of my country.

Hope stirs in the scintillating hearts of well meaning Americans.

I exhort all Americans to have hope like these people,

Who are as sweet as rich chocolate and as wise as eucalyptus and sage.

Stay safe, stay resilient, stay Railstrong! 🙂

The REA3D Candlelight Dinner 2020, held February 21, 2020 at Black Woods in Proctor,  broke all prior fundraising efforts, due to generous business and community support! Nearly 180 guests were in attendance at the Buffalo Plaid themed event, which sold out three weeks prior to the occasion. The evening began with a social hour at 5:00 PM and dinner served at 6:30 PM. This year’s guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner of Filet Mignon and North Atlantic Salmon or a Roasted Vegetable Pasta option. Guest speaker Glen Gilderman inspired all in attendance with his powerful message of experience and hope. The variety of silent and live auction items was amazing, and helped raise nearly $20,000 for REA3D.
